Christmastime Is Here
Ok, Christmastime isn’t quite here, but the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog is just around the corner. While the sales period begins September 5, Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators can order from it now. The Happiness & Cheer Stamp Set is one I had to get.
The stamps in this set are so fun to color. I stamped the image using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Before coloring the image with Stampin’ Blends, I stamped again on scrap paper to create a mask of the carolers and the tree. Then I stamped the Sheet Music Stamp over the masked image to create the background. I used Sahara Sand ink and stamped off two times.
The brick wall is created using Shimmery White Embossing Paste with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and a Palette Knife. So fun! The shimmer doesn’t show up as well in the photo, but it has just enough glitter to look like a snowy brick wall.
I stamped the sentiment in Whisper White Craft Ink, then embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This sentiment has several meanings to our family. First, it’s a song in a Peanuts cartoon – A Charlie Brown Christmas. Apparently the tune is also used in a show the boys used to watch. It was the theme for a sad scene. Every time one of them was upset about something minor, I’d play that tune on the piano and it made them laugh. (I never played it when they were really sad; that would have just been mean.)
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day.
How did I miss this set? I like your brick wall background, and great colouring (as always!). We still watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year! 🙂

I loved this one because of the watercolorability. (Yeah, I just made that up.) Then Miss Amelia saw it and said, “You have to buy that.” Who am I to argue?
