Blackberry Congrats

Here’s a card we’re making at August classes.

Ignore the finger; that’s not part of the fun card! It’s a simple “Z-fold” card created from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored at 4-1/4″ and 2-1/8″. It’s not really a “Z-fold” card, because I glued the two smaller flaps together. You can also cut the front of the card at 2-1/8″. But it was a Z-fold when I started. (Does that count?)

I used the Stitched Seasons Framelits to create the Powder Pink and Mint Macaron labels. Stamp the “congrats” in Blackberry Bliss Ink, and the flowers from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce on the Powder Pink label.

Stamp the leaf image in Whisper White Craft Ink on the front flap, then heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Adhere the Powder Pink label to the front of the Blackberry Bliss card base.

For the inside of the card, adhere a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of a Blackberry Bliss design from the Regals Designer Series Paper to the back of the short piece of the card front. Stamp the leaf image on the Mint Macaron label die-cut in Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin’ Ink, then stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Ink. Adhere the label to the inside of the card.

Easy, right? This is such a fun card to send to someone who has done something amazing. Or simply switch out the sentiments to make it a birthday or thank you card.
