Bonus Days & Blended Seasons
August is a wonderful time to be a Stampin’ Up! addict, er, customer or demonstrator. First, if you’re a demonstrator, you can preorder from the new Holiday Catalog! That’s a whole extra month that you can enjoy holiday products and get a jump start on your projects!
Everyone can take advantage of Bonus Days. For Every $50 you spend in August, you’ll get a $5.00 coupon code to use in September. (Be sure to keep these codes in a folder in your email; that’s the only record there will be!) How fun is that? And to help you on your way, we have the amazing Color Your Season promotion – the Blended Seasons Stamp Set, Stitched Seasons Framelits (or you can bundle them to save 10%), and a brand new assortment of Watercolor Pencils. So fun!
Here’s a card I made with the Blended Seasons Bundle and the Watercolor Pencils. It’s a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from a card the Stampin’ Up! Concept Artists designed, but I changed it a little. I loved everything about the original – the layout, the colors, everything!
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the floral image from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set. I inked the flowers using a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves with a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker. The centers are Crushed Curry. Then I used Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencils to blend the color. They’re a little more blended and vintage than I had planned. When I was fussy cutting them, they got airborne (don’t ask) and landed in my coffee cup. I decided to just roll with it.
I stamped a few background images in Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo using the Artisan Textures stamp set, then flicked a bit of ink over the card with an Aqua Painter and ink pads.
The border under the Melon Mambo sentiment layer is from the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Before I layered everything, I also embossed the trellis image from the Stitched Labels Framelits using the new Big Shot Embossing Mats.
You are going to love the Take Your Pick Tool in the Holiday catalog. There’s a paper piercer, stylus, a spatula, the putty end, and an extra putty refill. I used it to grab the sequins from my sequin container and it was a piece of cake! (I’m not sure where those sequins came from. Whenever I have leftovers from a kit, I add them to the container.)
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Make sure you order your Blended Seasons Bundle soon, because it’s only available while supplies last. And you want those Bonus Coupons, right?
Have a lovely day!

Beautiful colouring, Buffy! I really like the soft colour palette with the pops of Granny Apple Green.

Thanks, Deborah! It’s an almost total CASE, but I loved it so much, I had to recreate! (Even the coffee stain turned out ok.)
