Congratulations, Susan!
I was inspired by Amelia’s sunscreen the other day. I love the colors on this bottle, don’t you?
Actually, the flowers, the design, and the colors all struck my eye. Especially when I realized the flowers on the bottle coordinated with Amelia’s new swimsuit. No one else seemed as impressed by that, but I thought it was awesome!
I used the ideas from this bottle to create a card for my friend Susan. Susan started using Ever skin care products awhile ago. I always thought Susan was beautiful, so I can’t wait to see her skin now! Anyway, Ever had a promotion recently, and you could order the starter kit for $150. I’ve been wanting to get rid of the dark circles under my eyes, as well as some fine lines and wrinkles that have been popping up on my face for the past 10 or more years. So I joined. I don’t plan on doing a lot; mostly (like Stampin’ Up! “hobby demos,”) I just want a discount on my purchases. But if you’re interested in knowing more, let me know.
Susan, however, is doing great! Our team leader posted the top 10 in recruiting, and Susan is in the top 10! I’m so excited for her. She’s been a huge help to me, and although I didn’t have major skin issues, I have noticed some of the lines between my eyebrows (that always made me look like I was frowning) are a little less noticable. And that’s only in a week! Just think how young I’ll look in a few months.
To celebrate her success, I made Susan this card.
I used really hot, summer colors for this card. And can you tell I’m loving the new Brights collection? I stamped the Accented Blooms flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, thinking I was going to use Stampin’ Blends to color them. But I won’t have the colors I wanted to use until next week, so I used Stampin’ Write Markers. They didn’t bleed much, and the black wouldn’t have bled at all if I had been more careful.
The colors I used to color were Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight. I layered the Whisper White stamped panel to Poppy Parade, then to Bermuda Bay (embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder), and, finally, to a Mango Melody card base.
The sentiment, Tuxedo Black Memento on Bermuda Bay, is from the Hand Delivered Hostess Set. I punched it with the Tailored Tag Punch and added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Congratulations, Susan! (Act surprised when you get the card.) I’m proud of you!!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Susan! I should have waited until you saw it first, but I’m not good at that. BTW – I was going to refer everyone who wanted information to you. 😉
