I don’t know about where you live, but here in Northern Virginia, we’ve been bombarded by rain. It seems like it’s been raining for three weeks straight, but I know it hasn’t. Both weekends this month that we ran away to our mountain house it rained. Today was very hot, but dry. The rest of the week, though, they’re calling for more rain and thunderstorms. While I’m happy for the rain, my tomato plants are drowning, and I haven’t had time to plant anything else. But it will get done.
In honor of the rain, I made this card while I was gone.
I wanted to make a gray and yellow card. I decided to use Beautiful You, one of my favorite stamp sets. It was in the Occasions Catalog a year ago, carried over to the 2017-18 catalog, and will carry over again to the 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
I stamped the image in Basic Gray, then colored the lady’s dress with Smoky Slate Classic Ink. The umbrella is Daffodil Delight with a few Crushed Curry shadows.
I layered the stamped panel to some of the retiring Color Theory Designer Series Paper. The Smoky Slate card is stamped with the dotted image from the Beautiful You set to mimic the rain we’ve been having.
I didn’t take a lot of embellishments with me on our trip, but I did tuck a pack of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. Gorgeous! I love these little pearls.
Don’t forget – you only have two more days to order from the 2017-18 Annual Catalog. Lots of favorite products have already sold out; don’t wait until the last minute to order. You can place your order any time in my online store. The new 2018-19 catalog sales period begins June 1, so products in the 2017-18 catalog will retire May 31 at midnight MT.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Hope you have a lovely day – rain or shine!
Gray and yellow is a great combination. Pretty card!

Lovely colour combination, Buffy. Gray is my favourite neutral. I hope you see more sunshine soon!
