Color Coach? Yes, Please!
Raise your hand if you remember the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach. Ok, put your hand down if your family is looking at you like you’re a little crazy.
For years, Stampin’ Up! has offered a Color Coach. At first, it was a color wheel, but then it morphed into a really cool tool with exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors. It was so amazing. I could say, “Hmmmm, what color do I feel like using today? Real Red?” No problem. I’d go to the Real Red page and see three different color combos.
Sadly, a lot of stampers didn’t see the amazing value in this tool, so it retired several years ago. Even though I could find inspiration in other places, I missed my Color Coach so much.
When I was able to purchase all the cardstock in new Stampin’ Up! colors after the Color Revamp, I cut them all in 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ pieces to make swatches in all the new and returning colors. I loved seeing all the colors together. It made me so happy, because I’m a color junkie.
With the Color Revamp, there’s an Online Color Coach on the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator page. Am I going to go online every time I need a color inspiration? No, I am not. Even though I’m a “boomer,” I”m still a tech junkie/addict. But my laptop is on my dining room table, three doors down from my craft room. I have an iPhone and a tablet – both of which are often being used by my 3 year-old granddaughter. I need tactile tools. So I printed the Online Color Coach. Did I use RGB or hex codes? Are you kidding? Did I mention I babysit my three year-old grand most days? I just printed – and the print version was vastly different from the “real life” colors.
Wait! Why couldn’t I combine the two? I cut the printed Color Coach sheets apart, then, adhered them to the corresponding colors of my swatch pack. Using the 1/2″ Circle Punch, I added cardstock swatches to the colors on the printed Color Coach. And I got this.
So amazing! I love this tool – and you can have and love it as well. I’m offering this Color Coach to the first 100 customers for $10. I had four – one wheel with basic colors (red, orange, green, etc.), one wheel with a few more SU Colors (but not all of them), and the two that were cards. I think I kept all of them until I moved my craft room. (I kept the latest two, but I think I got rid of the ancient wheels finally.)

You did send the payment last month – thank you! They are quite a bit of work and take some time to make, but I’m happy to announce the first batch (those that have been paid for already) will be going out this week, barring any more flooding here. You should see it early next week, if not before.
