Birthday Tulips
Here’s one of the cards for our, “So Long, Farewell,” April classes.
Lots of products on this card are retiring. Wisteria Wonder (the card base), the beautiful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (it’s already gone. *Sad*), and the Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. The Tranquil Tulips hostess set, of course, is also retiring, as well as Teeny Tiny Wishes. I use Teeny Tiny Wishes all the time for small sentiments. If you don’t have it, now is the best time to think about adding it to your library of stamps!
The only way to get Tranquil Tulips is to host a workshop. It’s only $10 in Stampin’ Rewards, so a minimum $150 workshop, class, or order will give you enough rewards to earn the set. Of course, as a demonstrator, you’d have the opportunity to purchase a hostess set or two during the preorder period. Just another perk among many. Join now, and you’ll be able to enjoy the preorder during May.
Card Details
To create this card, adhere a 3″ x 5-1/2″ layer of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the Wisteria Wonder card base. (In class, we used a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of DSP. It seeed to be a better balance.)
Next, stamp the larger tulip in Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Then stamp the smaller tulip two times in Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum Classic Ink. Cut out the three tulips.
On a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp three stems and some grass in Emerald Envy Classic Ink, then add the cut out tulips with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use a small circle punch to notch the corners, then tie a length of Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding around the stamped layer. Stamp happy birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes on the bottom of the card in Elegant Eggplant Classic ink, and layer the stamped piece to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Remember – everything on this card is retiring (except the Whisper White Cardstock), so be sure to order your favorite colors and stamps today!

I’m so glad we have new purples coming in – otherwise I couldn’t handle the loss of Wisteria Wonder! You shown off these retiring products perfectly, Buffy! Lovely card.

Thanks, Deborah! I liked Wisteria Wonder, but I think I’m going to enjoy Highland Heather a lot more!
