Last Chance – and Discounts!

I’m popping back in today for a quick post. Stampin’ Up! has updated the Clearance Rack with lots of fun products! Be sure to check it out; I’d hate for you to miss out on a great deal on your favorite product!

While you’re shopping, don’t forget to take a look at the very large list of retiring Stampin’ Up! products. If you’re a little confused because all of the Stampin’ Up! classic ink pads are retiring, don’t worry. We’re having a “Color Revamp” this year. 13 of our core colors and the 2016-18 In Colors are retiring. But six previously retired In Colors (Mossy Meadow, Coastal Cabana, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Poppy Parade, and Flirty Flamingo – who didn’t stay in retirement for long! Maybe five minutes.) are returning to the core collection, as well as 10 fabulous new colors and five new In Colors for 2018-2020.

I know what you’re thinking. 18 colors are retiring; 21 colors are new or returning. How is that possible? Stampin’ Up! has created a new Basics category, giving more room for new colors! This includes Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White. These colors are available in cardstock and some accessories. There’s also a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker as well as a Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad and Refill. (For black ink, we have Tuxedo Black Memento – for general stamping and use with Stampin’ Blends, and Jet Black StāzOn – for watercoloring.)

Here are all the In Colors.

And here are the yummy new colors.

And here’s a look at the four color collections.

Color Collections, Stampin' Up!

How gorgeous is that palette? The colors are so fresh and pretty. And did you notice three “colors” are added to the Neutrals? I often use navy, mossy green, or a deep red as a neutral in decorating or dressing. Especially navy, because blue jeans are my wardrobe staple most days.

The stamp pad case has also been reconfigured, and opening it is much more intuitive. Honestly, didn’t you just look at our current stamp pad for a few seconds when you were first handed one? My first stamp pads just opened. You flipped up the top and – BOOM! – it was open. We stored them upside down, because you want the ink to be at the top of the pad, not the bottom.

About 15 years ago, the style changed to the “push, flip, slide” one. They required a bit of instruction the first time or two stampers new to this style used them. But we’ve made as many of the pads as we can without making a new mold, so Stampin’ Up! decided to reconfigure the case.

The new case simply opens, and then you can slide the pad over the lid. So easy! The foam area is the same size, but the case is a bit sleeker. The new pads are also stackable, and the ink has a “defoamer” added, so you don’t get those little annoying bubbles on your stamp. You can use the current refills in the new pads or new refills in old pads except for Basic Gray. The new Basic Gray will be a Classic Stampin’ Pad, and you do not want to use your archival ink on that! The new pads also fit in the Color Caddy (although not as tightly, so don’t give it a whirl or they may fly out).

Here are some photos of the new Classic Stampin’ Pad.

This is the pad closed. The label is larger, and it has the new branding. Simply flip the lid up to open.

This is the pad open and locked. See the color swatch inside the case? No more stamping in the wrong color

The final photos show the size compared to the current style.

Be sure to order any retiring colors or other products now, because they are only available while supplies last. (Stamp sets are guaranteed through May 25.) And check out the discounts on the Clearance Rack products!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a beautiful day!

Just got my new ink pads yesterday. Gonna try them out today. I like the compact design and that they stack together nicely.
