Hello, Goodbye
My theme for Stampin’ Up! classes this week is, So Long, Farewell. We’ll be using a lot of retiring stamp sets over the next six weeks. While I usually sell my retired products, there are some I’m going to keep – like the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set.
I love that little bunch of blossoms, don’t you? They’re so delicate and pretty.
How-To
First, color a 2″ x 5″ strip of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (DSP; from the 2018 Occasions Catalog; available through May 31 or while supplies last) with Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers. (Reminder: All the colors except Daffodil Delight will be retiring May 31, or when supplies run out.)
Layer the colored DSP beside a 2″ x 5″ strip of Colory Theory DSP (retiring). Cover the seam with a strip of Pick a Pattern Designer Washi Tape (not retiring!).
Stamp the sentiment in Peekaboo Peach Classic Ink on a 2-1/2″ punched circle. (Oops. Just realized that’s retired. So we’ll be using the Layering Circle Framelits!) Stamp the spray of flowers in Daffodil Delight Classic ink along the edge, then sponge the circle with more Daffodil Delight ink. Add the punched circle to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Layer everything to an Emerald Envy card base.
Hello, New Products!
While there are many colors, stamps, and other products I’ll miss after they retire, I can’t be too sad. Look what arrived at my door on Wednesday morning.
This photo in no way shows the magnitude of my order. Seriously, I kind of overdid it. Demonstrators who attended OnStage 2018 had a chance to pre-preorder a lot of products from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. Plus, all demonstrators can preorder products from the Love What You Do pre-release. Love What You Do is a suite in the new catalog that will be released early (in May instead of June). As the time gets closer, I’ll let you know more about this fabulous promotion. But look at all that gorgeous product! And there are two new In Color stamp pads right on top. (Did you notice there’s a new design? It’s much easier to open!) I have already played with a few of these, and can’t wait to spend the weekend playing, er, working! on projects for the next few months.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Such a pretty card, Buffy. I am going to miss colouring in that DSP. I’m looking forward to your ‘sneak peeks’ of your haul of new products!

Thanks, Deborah! That DSP is so fun. But the new is also lovely. I am really impressed with how pretty the “Share What You Love” paper is. (Don’t have the flier or catalog handy, so I might have the wrong name for the paper.)
