Garden in Blooming In Colors

Garden in Blooming In Colors

One of the fun things about Stampin’ Up! events is getting to see and use new products. We got to play with products from four of the suites from the new 2018-19 Annual Catalog. We got to use the new stamp pads, too, and a couple brand new Stampin’ Blends in two of the new 2018-20 In Colors, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.

Besides Prize Patrol, where staff members give away free product throughout the event, we get to divide up the supplies that we used at the end of the event. I was thrilled to get some embellishments, a new stamp pad, and two of the Stampin’ Blends (Light Lovely Lipstick and Dark Pineapple Punch).

The night before OnStage, demonstrators with the title Silver Elite and higher were treated to the first look at the catalog, new stamp pads, and new colors – plus a lovely Italian buffet and more gifts. We got a logo tumbler (with a voucher for a free stamp set!), a sampler of all the Stampin’ Up! colors, and a pack of 2018-20 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers. So awesome!

I decided to use the new Stampin’ Blends (and a few older ones) with a retiring stamp set, Garden in Bloom.

Garden in Bloom, Stampin' Up!

Since I was using Stampin’ Blends, I stamped the flowers and leaves in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I colored! The two larger flowers are a mix of Lovely Lipstick and Rich Razzleberry. The smaller flower at the bottom is Lovely Lipstick only. The darker flowers are Rich Razzleberry. All the flowers have Pineapple Punch centers (with a little Clear Wink of Stella), and the leaves are a mix of Light and Dark Old Olive.

Since we don’t have the new stamp pads yet, I inked the sentiment with my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker. Even though the Garden in Bloom stamp set is photopolymer, I was happy with how the marker covered the stamp.

After adding the stamped layer to a Melon Mambo layer and an Old Olive card base, I wanted something else. I colored some Whisper White 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon with the Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend. Gorgeous!

My Product Purchase Premier order and preorder for the May special will be here tomorrow. I can’t wait!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
