Rose Wonder
Here’s a card using one of my favorite stamp sets. It’s a few years old, so I haven’t used it for awhile since I’ve been playing with new stamps. Still, Rose Wonder is a lovely set with lots of sentiments suitable for sympathy, thanks, birthday, wedding, and more.
First, stamp the image in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, then color with Classic Stampin’ Pads and a Blender Pen. I used Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves, and Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango for the petals. Die-cut the flower using the coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits from another piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Using a Fine-Tip Glue Pen, adhere the diecut over the stamped image.
Use backgrounds from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set in Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango around the flower, if you’d like. Or you can leave it plain for a “Clean & Simple” card. Stamp Thank You in Garden Green Classic Ink, then die-cut with the label die from the Rose Garden Thinlits. Sponge the edges with some Lemon Lime Twist ink, then adhere to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the stamped layer to a Punpkin Pie card base.
It’s funny that the card base is Pumpkin Pie, but I didn’t use Pumpkin Pie at all when I was coloring. With all the yellow in the rose, Pumpkin Pie just seemed to be the best choice for the base.
I keep thinking today is Friday – and I almost posted my Stamp Off Challenge today. Oops! I am really looking forward to Stampin’ Up! OnStage (which starts Friday!), but wishing won’t make the time go faster. And I have a ton of things to do before we go, so it’s good that I have an extra day.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Deborah! We’ll have a blast, I know. It’s been almost two years since I’ve seen Susan. I’m having withdrawals!

Love this! And your tip about placing the pieces over the stamped image. Have fun at OnStage. I’m heading to Red Deer today for OnStage.
