Awesomely Artistic Mother’s Day
I’m usually creating cards for special occasions at the last minute, so when I finished this card, I decided to make it for Mother’s Day.
This is a CASE from Dawn Olchefske, a fabulous Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who recently reached one million dollars in sales. That’s a tremendous accomplishment! Dawn’s version of this card was created a few years ago; I changed the colors a little, but it’s basically the same.
I love the Awesomely Artistic stamp set from Stampin’ Up! There are lots of fun images and background stamps in the set. For this card, I stamped the flowers in Marina Mist, then the ferns in Lemon Lime Twist. The little “splatters” are also Marina Mist.
After I had everything stamped, I sponged Marina Mist and Lemon Lime Twist over the images. I also added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the centers of some of the flowers.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the dragonfly first in Marina Mist. After cleaning the stamp, I stamped the dragonfly again in Versamark over the first one so I could emboss it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I sponged a little Lemon Lime Twist ink over it after it cooled.
The ribbon is the Lemon Lime Twist Ombré Ribbon. It’s so pretty! Happy Mother’s Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and it’s stamped in Marina Mist. I added the stamped Whisper White layer to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Marina Mist layer, then to a Lemon Lime Twist card base.
Of course, this card would also be perfect for birthdays, or for a thank you, thinking of you, or even a sympathy card.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
