Another New Home
No, it’s not my new home. I’m working on some more cards for Mike to send to his real estate clients who are buying new homes. He’s been keeping me busy these days. I made one using the Hearts Come Home Bundle several months ago (see it here), but wanted to do one more suited for spring.
Although the Hearts Come Home set was in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog in 2017, the stamps and edgelits carried over through the Occasions Catalog Sales Period, so you can still purchase it, at least through May 31. I’m crossing my fingers that it will carry over to the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog in June.
I stamped the houses and trees on Whisper White Cardstock using Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, and Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin’ Pads. I fussy cut the Chocolate Chip house and set it aside. It’s all straight lines, so it’s not difficult at all. (Yes, I did hear a collective groan from some of you when you read “fussy cut.”) I colored in the windows with Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker, just to make the houses feel lived in. And, yes that’s a bit of snow on the bottom of one tree. It may be spring, but it’s still Virginia. We get these little surprise snows into April. Usually the snow is gone in a day or less, but sometimes it lingers on trees. (Ok, you got me. I didn’t ink the tree stamp well and missed that splotch of white. I was rushing to get it finished. We’re pretending it’s snow, though.)
The sentiment is from the Home Life Stamp Set in the Annual Catalog. It’s a cute set, and there are dies to go with the houses and flowers, but I bought it for the sentiments. They’re perfect for Realtors. I stamped the sentiments on Soft Sky Cardstock in Chocolate Chip ink.
To put it together, I layered a strip of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper over the Whisper White layer, then added the Chocolate Chip house with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I tied some twine around the card – we’ll call it Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine, but, honestly, I just grabbed something, wrapped it around the card three times, and tied it. Then I added the sentiment layer with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Susan! It’s a quick and easy one. I promised to do more with the edgelits. He liked that best. Of course.
