Petal Palette Thanks
Here’s a card we’re making in March classes. It uses the Petal Palette Bundle from the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.
My first choice for this card was the Peekaboo Peach card base. I love this color, and I’m so sad that it will be retiring in June. It was one of the five 2016-18 In Colors (Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, and Sweet Sugarplum), and they will all be retiring with the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
Just a heads up – the retiring In Color inks, card stock, embellishments, ribbon, and designer series paper all sell out fairly quickly when the retiring list comes out. So you’ll want to order your favorites quickly to avoid disappointment.
Another reason I chose the Peekaboo Peach is because I love roses in that color. Dad & Mom have some, and they are gorgeous! I’m sure there’s a name for them, but I just call them “Dad’s roses.”
To create the card, you can stamp the floral image from the Petal Palette stamp set and then die-cut it with the Petals & More Thinlits Dies. Of course, if you bundle the stamps and dies, you’ll save 10%.
I die-cut the image first. It’s so easy with the new Stamparatus to die cut the image, then use the “negative” as a template. Insert the stamp into the empty template, then close the plate over the stamp to adhere. Re-insert the die-cut into the template, ink the stamp with (in this case) Basic Black Archival Ink, then stamp. Easy! (You can see photos of the technique here.)
Use a Blender Pen with Peekaboo Peach and Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pads to color the floral image. The Old Olive leaf spray and the Gold Glimmer Paper die-cut are two of the “more” from the Petals & More Thinlits.
Final touches for the card are the embossing (one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders) and the sentiment. The sentiment is one of the stamps in the Petal Palette set, die-cut with another Petals & More Thinlit.
Remember, you can order from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog through May 31, but Sale-a-bration ends March 31. More products (from the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogs) will be added Thursday, March 15. Be sure to place your $50 minimum order by March 31 so you can enjoy the free products. Place your $50 minimum order in my online store, and I’ll send you a gift as a thank you!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

This card is gorgeous, Buffy. I will miss Peekaboo Peach too. I wish we could always keep all our In Colors (well, except the Baby Poo one!).

Ha ha! I actually liked that one with the right “other colors.” Baby Poo and Midnight Mucous” (aka Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse) looked great together.

I just realized that you & Susan used the same basic layout on the cards you both shared today! Great minds think alike 🙂 And your card is beautiful; the embossing on the side, and Peekaboo Peach is beautiful!
