Sweet Little Something Congrats
At Stampin’ Up! events, they have a fun activity called “Prize Patrol.” When demonstrators check in, they receive a pin or a wrist band, or some other token with a color or pattern on it. Throughout the event, they randomly draw one one of the patterns or colors, and everyone who received that pattern/color when they registered gets a prize – usually a stamp set, paper, or other product from the Annual or Seasonal Catalog that is being revealed at that event.
At OnStage Live in Salt Lake City in November 2017, prizes were from the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration brochure. My Prize Patrol Prize was the Sweet Little Something stamp set.
If you loved Baby Bear, you’ll also love the Sweet Little Something. It’s an adorable little bunny that is perfect for Easter, a new baby, or simply a congratulations card.
Isn’t that a cutie? The bunny is a three step process. I stamped the most detailed image first, because I find it easier to line up that way. This is a photopolymer stamp set, so lining up is easy anyway, but just to be sure, I used my Stamparatus. I wanted to be sure everything stamped perfectly.
I stamped the most detailed image in Soft Suede, then the next in Crumb Cake, then the final “filler” in Sahara Sand. I also added a tiny bit of Blushing Bride to the insides of his ears. I love how this little guy looks so real. You can see his fluffy fur. (Amelia loves this set, by the way. She is always snitching the samples I make with it and putting them with her “prizes.”)
I decided to fussy cut my bunny with Paper Snips. Then I added him to a stamped die-cut circle. Finally, I added a sentiment (Bermuda Bay Classic Ink on Blushing Bride Cardstock), punched with the Banner Triple punch and popped it onto the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before I added the layers, though, I embossed the front of the Bermuda Bay card with the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. These are hiding in the bottom corner of the Petal Passion Suite (page 23 of the Occasions Catalog), and it’s difficult to tell what the patterns really are. The one I used today is a vine – and I embossed two times, since it’s a smaller folder. (Here’s a better look at the other folder in the duo.)
In my quest to use up all my ribbon and Designer Series Paper this year, I added some Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon to the card. Blushing Bride would have been lovely, but, alas, I don’t have any. Of course, after I finished, I remembered I have lots of white and vanilla ribbon I could have dyed. Hmmmm…a thought for another day!
By the way, if you order the Sweet Little Something Stamp Set, Banner Triple Punch, and the Petal Pair Textured Impression Embossing Folders, you’ll have enough to order a FREE Level 1 Sale-a-bration product!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
