Simple & Wonderful Things
Here’s a fun and simple card we’re making in February classes. It was originally for a demonstrator team color challenge. The color palette was Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Lemon Lime Twist. The second part of the challenge was to use products from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog and/or Sale-a-bration products on the card. Here’s my original entry.
My Occasions products on this are the Tutti-Frutti Washi Tape and the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Actually, I only used one folder twice. The flowers really do look a lot like some of the flowers in the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set.
The flower outlines are stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink, then the centers in Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and some Lemon Lime Twist in the centers. I love this combination. (The centers may be Crushed Curry. I made it a while ago. At any rate, even if it really is Lemon Lime Twist, it’s not enough of my favorite color, so I added the washi tape.)
I love the sentiments in the Just Add Text stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I added this one in Bermuda Bay.
Tonight we’re having another sleepover with my granddaughter Amelia. So far we’ve had popcorn, watched Finding Dory, and now she’s sharpening all her colored pencils. Mike & I had a lovely dinner – and I offered her either pizza (our typical sleepover fare) or some of our pork roast. Sadly, she was too full of popcorn to eat dinner. There may or may not have been some chocolate involved as well, but I will have a sudden attack of amnesia if her parents ask. Tomorrow will be a lovely day for healthy food.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day filled with wonderful things!
Beautiful card, Buffy. It is nice to see the embossing folder up close. I love your colors too!
I love that colour combination! And I never realised how pretty that embossing folder is – your card shows much more detail.
