Sunshine Birthday
One of the ladies in my card class last week was wearing a very cool t-shirt. When I saw it, I knew it would make a great card using the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Love and Painted Harvest stamp sets.
Isn’t that fun? I stamped the sunflower from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set in Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango ink, then added the center in Early Espresso. The ferny greenery is Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist. I think this looks so warm! We had teaser weather earlier this week; it was quite spring-like. The past two days, though, have been a little more like a Virginia winter. That’s really a good thing, because I don’t want the crops and flowers to think it’s time to start budding, even though I’m longing for spring.
I used Basic Gray Archival Ink to stamp the Jar of Love Stamp Set jar, then added a bit of Soft Sky for the water. It didn’t photograph well, but I also added a little Clear Wink of Stella over the water.
I knew I wanted the sunshine diecut (from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies) in Tangerine Tango, but I didn’t leave any room to stamp Happy Birthday from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set, so I simply added a little tag. Easy! The dies and stamp set coordinate, by the way. And if you order the dies and stamp set, you can select a free Level 1 Sale-a-bration product!
The Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) was one of my favorites in the 2017 Holiday Catalog. Sadly, it’s retired now, but I couldn’t resist using a little. It’s so lovely – but then, all of our DSPs are. Be sure you stock up now on paper from the Annual and Occasions catalogs. Almost all the DSP retires at the end of a catalog sales period.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Deborah! We’re getting spoiled here with “early spring” temps. I know it won’t last, so we’re enjoying it while we can!
