Charming Café
When I saw the Charming Café set in the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog, I knew I had to have it. I love that style; it reminds me a lot of the Mediterranean Moments set that premiered last spring.
When I was in college, our choir toured Austria, Germany, and Italy. We stopped at a little café in Austria, and there was a couple sitting outside at a table very like this one. They heard us talking, and, of course, figured out we were from the United States. When we told them where we were from, they laughed. They were also from Winchester, VA. In fact, he was my grandfather’s doctor. Talk about a small world!
For this card, I used the Charming Café Stamp Set as well as the Café Builder Framelits Dies. You can bundle these and save 10%. Also, if you order the wood-mount bundle, or order the clear-mount bundle and add a pack of cardstock, or another product for at least $7, you can select a free Sale-a-bration product!
To make this, I used my Stamparatus. First I die-cut all the pieces – the frame, flowers, and chairs and table. The flowers are part of the frame, but I decided to cut them separately as well, so I could pop them up and add a little dimension. I placed the negatives in the stamp positioner, inserted the stamp over the negative space, and closed the positioner to adhere the stamp. Next, I inserted the die-cut piece into the negative space (like a puzzle), then stamped. Perfect! You can see photos of this technique here.
All that was left was to die-cut the front of the card and color the images. I used Stampin’ Blends to color. My card base is Soft Sky, and I covered the front with one of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack designs.
This is a super fun bundle, and there are so many ways you can use it. Here’s a video to show you some tips and ideas.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day.

Love your card, thanks for sharing….i can just imagine how awesome it would be to be sitting out in front of a European Cafe and enjoy a cup of coffee on a darling little Bistro set like this…I had one once, but we were downsizing and my husband sold him at a garage sale. grrr.

Thanks, Heather! It would be an awesome way to spend a lazy afternoon! (Or morning.) We had a set like that too – and, same thing. Needed the space, so had to sell it. sad
