Bermuda Lime Congratulations

Bermuda Lime Congratulations

I was going to use this card as a Make & Take for a workshop this week, but most of the ladies had never used rubber stamps (or photopolymer stamps), so I switched it a little. The idea for this card came from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. I changed the colors a little, though. Bermuda Bay with Lemon Lime Twist is my favorite color combination.

Amazing Congratulations, Stampin' Up!

This card is very simple to create. Emboss the front of a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Bermuda Bay card with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. On a 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the congratulations outline in Basic Black Archival Ink. Then stamp the two darker images in Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay. Easy!

I used the Stamparatus to ensure perfect placement. I also used ink spots to ink the stamps, because I tend to make a bit of a mess with the full sized Classic Stampin’ Pads. However, my spots were linen, so the stamps didn’t get inked as well as they would have with the new(ish) firm foam pads. Good news – I was using the Stamparatus, so I could stamp over and over until I got the coverage I wanted.

Add a strip of the Lemon Lime Twist washi tape from the Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape. To keep from having a rough edge at the side of the card, wrap the tape behind the Whisper White Layer. Adhere the stamped layer to the card. Then stamp on your big news in Bermuda Bay on a Whisper White Cardstock scrapand add it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This card is perfect for a new job, new baby, wedding engagement, or any event that’s cause for celebration. I think I’m going to send this to a friend who just got a new job in Key West. How fun! I’m so excited for her.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
