Petal Thanks

Here’s the card we made at our demonstrator meeting this month.

We used the Stamparatus and the Petal Palette Stamp Set and Petals & More Thinlits Dies from the Occasions Catalog. You can bundle the stamp set and thinlits and save 10%.

The Stamparatus makes this card a snap to create. First, die-cut the bird from Whisper White Cardstock. Then place the negative in the Stamparatus, lay the stamp in the open area, and close the Stamparatus to adhere the stamp to the plate. Next, place the die-cut bird back into the negative space, ink the stamp, and stamp. Perfect placement every time. You can do the same with the circle so you can be sure the thank you sentiment is centered and straight. I posted this technique a few weeks ago; you can see it (with pictures) here.

Use Basic Black Archival Ink for the bird and the sentiment. Add a few flowers in Smoky Slate to the bottom of the circle. Adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (DSP) over the Lemon Lime Twist card base. Add the Lemon Lime Twist greenery to the center of the card. We snipped one branch off so we could spread the greenery out.

Add the circle to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere the bird to the circle over the sentiment (like he’s perched on the T) with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How easy is that? Even though everyone at the meeting was an experienced demonstrator, I think they all appreciated having a simple card. It’s also a perfect card for new stampers, because it’s so simple, yet doesn’t look too plain.

If you’d like to dress it up a little, you can add some ribbon or some of the Petal Passion Embellishments, or even another strip of a different DSP design.
