Floral Thanks

Among the many benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is our quarterly magazine, Stampin’ Success. It’s packed with ideas for business as well as creative ideas and techniques. Of course, there are lots of other benefits as well – discounts on orders, relationships with other crafters, events, ability to order early from new catalogs, and so much more.

One of the product tips in this quarter’s Stampin’ Success was different ways to use the Brusho Crystal Colour. Yes, I do know that we conserve our “u”s in the United States, and spell “color” the correct way. (Just kidding, my Canadian, South Pacific, and European friends!) Since they’re a product of the UK, I’m guessing that’s why even rebellious Americans spell it with the extra “u.”

I’ve done lots of backgrounds and some coloring with Brusho, but I loved this one.

I didn’t change much at all with this card. First, I stamped the image in Basic Black Archival ink. It wasn’t dark enought to suit me, so I stamped it again. I think I stamped it three times to get the look I wanted. This is so easy to do with the Stamparatus. Then I cleaned the stamp and stamped one more time in VersaMark ink so I could emboss it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I sprinkled some Brilliant Red in one small lid and Moss Green in another. I used an Aqua Painter to pick up the color. Since the image is embossed, you can really get into the corners, because the embossing acts like a little fence.

Finally, I gave it a wash with Soft Sky ink. I squeezed a little Soft Sky Ink Refill into another lid and washed over the Shimmery White cardstock to give it a little color.

I love the way it turned out. The colo(u)rs are so vibrant. The sequins on the card are some of the Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins from the Occasions Catalog. So fun! No more mess.

Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to join my team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. When you join, you can select $125 in product for only $99, but during Sale-a-bration, you can add two additional stamp sets to your kit. You’ll immediately have access to thousands of ideas, training, product information, and your discount. And as a demonstrator, the more you sell during Sale-a-bration, the more rewards you’ll receive.

Questions? Let me know! If you live in the United States, I’d love to have you on my team! We have so much fun together.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Absolutely gorgeous, Buffy! I can’t wait to get my Stamparatus dtodo the multiple stamping to darken the base. I’m in love with the Brusho colours (spelt correctly! LOL) as well

Thanks, Deborah! It was really nice to be able to stamp over and over. And the magnet is amazingly strong. Just be sure to keep them way away from each other. Like, separate planets. I always keep at least one in the little cubby so they can’t smack together. I’ve never needed more than one magnet at a time.
