A Little Sneak Peek
The 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog sales period is almost over. You still have almost three weeks left, but Holiday Catalog products that are retiring at the end of the sales period are available only while supplies last – and some supplies haven’t. Lasted, that is! So be sure to order your favorites now. Of course, you can add other items to the order; it doesn’t have to just be Holiday catalog products.
The good news is that on January 3, 2018, the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog sales period begins. It’s packed with great new products that are perfect for spring! Here’s a little sneak peek of a couple new products.
Stampin’ Up! has added Brusho Crystal Colour to the coloring line-up. I used a very simple technique on this card, partly because I had a little helper.
First, I think it works best on Watercolor Paper. For this card, I spritzed water on the paper, then sprinkled Gamboge (orange) and Prussian Blue powder over and let it run a bit. Finally, I dried it with a heat gun.
When it was dry, I thought it looked a little like the sea at sunset, so I simply added some sea birds from the High Tide Stamp Set. The sentiment is from a new set in the Occasions Catalog, Waterfront. The stamps in this set have a very artsy, watercolor look. I know this is going to be one of my favorite sets.
That’s all there is to that card, and it took about five minutes to complete. You’re definitely going to want to add Brusho to your first order from the Occasions Catalog!
I added the stamped layer to Dapper Denim Cardstock and then to a Pumpkin Pie card base. Just a reminder – Dapper Denim is one of the 2016-18 In Colors that will be retiring at the end of the 2017-18 Annual Catalog. Retiring In Colors usually sell out very quickly, so order the cardstock, ink, markers, and embellishments early to avoid disappointment.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day.
Product List (please note: The Waterfront Stamp Set and Brush Crystal Colour will not be available until January 3, unless you’re a demonstrator. Want to get it early? Join my team and add Occasions products to your starter kit!)
Eeeeek, how did I not remember about Dapper Denim? I need to stock up. Thanks for the reminder. Oh, and I love the card. Thanks for describing the technique, because I would have assumed it was way too difficult for me.

Yep – order early, because once the retired list comes out, it’s a free for all! And thanks for liking the card! It was SO easy. Spritz, sprinkle, dry, done.

Fabulous! It reminds me of waves crashing up, and the birds flying above…. I can’t wait to start playing with my Brusho crystals! 🙂

Thanks, Deborah! I picked my two favorite colors, and when I was done, I thought the same thing – it just looked like waves and sky. The Brusho is so much fun! Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Thanks, Jackie! I looked at all my stamps, but thought the birds would be best. It seemed to go with the “feel” of the card, as well as the “friends” sentiment. Of course, Amelia and I had just been talking about birds, so they were on my mind! 🙂
