Now…I’m continuing my week of Sunshine Sayings posts. I noticed the negative of last Wednesday’s post on my stamping table, and knew I had to use it in some way. So I added a few punches and some stamping, and I created this.
The background was created by dragging Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin’ Pads across Glossy White Cardstock. You can use Whisper White Cardstock for this, but it looks better when you use Glossy White. lt just blends better, I think. I had already die-cut the sunshine saying for last week’s post, so it was ready to go. However, the chads from the “s”es and “e” were thrown away (aaarrrrgh!), so I just added them back in on the Lemon Lime Twist background cardstock with a Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.
I added some stamped flowers from the Birthday Blossom Stamp Set in Basic Gray Archival Ink, then stamped wishing you from a new Sell-a-bration stamp, Happy Wishes (you can earn this free during Sellabration, beginning in January, with a $100 order). I used Basic Black Archival Ink for the sentiment. “A Lifetime of” is from the Sunshine Sayings set.
The flowers from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set are stamped in Basic Gray Archival Ink on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock, then punched with the Pansy Stamp. It needed a little something, so I added Clear Faceted Gems to the centers of the flowers. All it needed was a Bermuda Bay Cardstock card base. Done!
This card is totally out of my comfort zone, but I’m really pleased with it.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day!

I love the look of swiping the ink pads over the cardstock. The color is so vibrant. Beautiful card!

Thanks, Joanne! I’m not sure that’s what they’re officially called. That’s what I call them. 🙂
