And Santa’s on His Way!
I’ve been trying to use some of my Stampin’ Up! Annual and Holiday Catalog products more often. Almost everything on this card is from the Annual Catalog.
Mrs. Claus is merrily waving Santa on his way. And it’s easy to see why she’s so jolly; she’s celebrating a successful Christmas Eve with a bubbly adult beverage. Hey, it gets cold at the North Pole, so she needs a little something (besides the fur coat) to keep her warm, right?
I stamped the stylish lady from You’ve Got Style in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then colored with the new Stampin’ Blends. She needed some sparkle, so I added a little sneak peek. Her bubbles (and her teardrop earrings, which are hidden by the window) are the new Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. They’re perfect for bubbles, raindrops, jewelry…anything that needs some “shimmer and shine.” (Yes, I do watch kids’ shows, and the theme song is running through my head right now.) You can order from the Occasions Catalog beginning January 3, 2018, unless you’re a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. We get to preorder beginning Friday, December 1. Just one of the many perks from Stampin’ Up!
My house is Smoky Slate, embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. And since Susan & Jackie have been creating such gorgeous cards with the Hearth & Home Thinlits window die, I had to jump on the band wagon. I chose to have Mrs. Claus standing outside the window so she could wave to Santa and his reindeer as they begin their trek around the world. And also because she’s wearing a fur coat, and no matter now cold it is up north, I don’t think she’d want a fur coat inside. Especially after a few glasses of champagne.
I started to add a window sheet behind the window, but I was afraid you wouldn’t see my glitter bubbles. Instead, I used a little glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to add some shine to her glasses.
My Jolly sentiment is from Oh, What Fun. I used the Banner Triple Punch to notch the edge. I thought this card would be really fun to make – and it was! It was also surprisingly quick and easy.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a jolly day!
