Basket of Wishess

Since it’s almost Thanksgiving, I thought a thank you card would be appropriate today. I used the Basket of Wishes set for my card. It appeared in last year’s Holiday catalog and carried over to the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog. Yay! It’s such a pretty and versatile set, with two baskets, a little fruit box, flowers, veggies, fruit, and more. It will work with at least three seasons.

I inked the basket with Soft Suede Classic Ink, then thumped a little with Early Espresso. After I stamped, I filled in with Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers.

I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival Ink, then colored with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, and Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Write Markers. It’s a perfect fall mix.

Because it was a fall card, I used the beautiful Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper for the background. The Burlap Ribbon completed the rustic look.

I have been neglecting Baby Bear (and he’ll soon have a new friend!) and I had forgotten about the fun sentiments in that set. Thank you on this card is from the Baby Bear set.

Of course, Cajun Craze is the perfect color for a Thanksgiving card.

We’re having the kids over for Thanksgiving dinner before Wesley goes to work. I’m looking forward to it. It’s always fun to have all (or, at least, most) of my kids around. I hope you have lots of be thankful for this year. One of the things that was discussed at CenterStage Leadership was stretching the resources you have instead of chasing resources you don’t have. Focusing on and realizing all you have been given really does keep you in a state of contented thankfulness.
