Just a Note
Here’s one of the cards we made at our October card classes. I’m loving the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! hostess set, Tranquil Tulips.
I stamped the flowers in Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride. The stems and leaves are Wild Wasabi. I mean’t to use Wild Wasabi for the card base, but I’m still getting used to my new craft room and pulled out Old Olive by mistake. (I thought something looked odd!) For class, though, they had Wild Wasabi.
The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases. I stamped it in Calypso Coral. Because I ran out of the Calypso Coral Sheer Ribbon, they had the option of Calypso Coral Ombre as well. And then that ran out. The third option was Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon. (Powder Pink and Blushing Bride are very close, so the ribbon worked perfectly.) The stampers with Powder Pink ribbon stamped the sentiment in either Blushing Bride or Wild Wasabi.
I decided to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog for this card. I loved the layout for the Tuscan Vineyard card on page 144 of the Annual Catalog, so that’s the sketch I used.
For a challenge, go through either of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs and pick a project you love. Then change it using a completely different set and colors but the same basic sketch. You’ll have fun, I promise!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Such a pretty card! I love the soft colour combination, Buffy. It would make a nice sympathy card, as well.

Thanks, Deborah! My original idea was a sympathy card, but no one wanted to do that. I understand, of course. They’re not “fun.” I think I may make a few up to have on hand, though. It’s much easier to make sympathy cards if you don’t have the recipient in mind.
