Stamp-Off Sketch Challenge
It’s another Stamp-Off Friday! (Remember, Susan, Jackie, and I have decided to publish our challenges every other week from now on.) This week, we have a sketch challenge.
This was such a fun sketch. Here’s my “take” on it.
As promised, it’s another card using the Painted Autumn suite from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. This suite includes such a versatile group of products. I’ve used it three days in a row, and all the projects look totally different. There was the fresh, bright thank you card on Wednesday, the artsy home décor on Thursday, and this simple card for today.
For this center square sketch, I used the Painter’s Palette stamp set from the 2017-18 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog. I stamped the easel twice on Whisper White Cardstock with Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ ink, and cut one full easel out with Paper Snips. I trimmed only the center from the second one, and sponged it with Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ ink. I fussy cut a sunflower from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and attached it to the sponged square, then adhered that to the easel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That way it looks a little more like a canvas on the easel.
The Early Espresso swoosh in the background and the Crumb Cake splatters above the easel are also from the Painter’s Palette Stamp Set. I used a piece from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack for the background. I love the ombré design in this paper. And the colors are gorgeous. After I stamped, I added the easel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The new mini ones are perfect for the legs. If you haven’t ordered a pack of those, you need to. They’re so easy and convenient.
Now head over to Jackie’s and Susan’s blogs to see what they’ve created. I can’t wait to see, and I know you’ll love their take on the sketch.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
Buffy I love that suite and you’ve really set it off with the little painters frame. Lovely card
