Stamp-Off Friday Word Challenge
It’s time for another Stamp Off Challenge! I love challenges with Jackie & Susan, because they’re so laid back. There aren’t really any rules, and we interpret the challenges the way we want. Like this week.
Now – when you look at this, do you think the challenge is about a party? Or should you just use words on your card? Or both? The beauty of the challenge is it’s all up to how you choose to interpret it, and that’s where the fun comes in.
I chose to use both ideas this week. Party is all about celebration to me, and I didn’t do anything for my card except stamp words.
This is a double challenge, because I grabbed colors I don’t use often. It’s not that I don’t like them – and this Tempting Turquoise/Real Red combo is a favorite of mine – it’s just that there are others that I run to more often. I kind of get into a creative box sometimes, and I have to kick my way out.
This card is super simple. I stamped celebrate from Happy Celebrations two times with Versamark ink and embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then a third time and embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Easy!
To make it a little more celebratory, I added some sequins from the Silver Mini Sequin Trim and some rhinestones. Before I took them off the backing, I colored them with a red permanent marker to pull the Real Red in a little.
So that’s my “Word Party” card. I can’t wait to see what Susan and Jackie have done, can you? Be sure to check out their blogs, and if you can, leave a comment! I know they’ll appreciate that.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Susan – and you know they’re hard for me, so this WAS a challenge!

Great CAS card, Buffy! Funny – when I read the word ‘celebrate’, my mind automatically thinks ‘party’! (is that a problem? if so, then never mind!)
