Oh So Eclectic

Oh So Eclectic

At OnStage Local in Richmond last April, I won the Oh So Eclectic stamp set for the first Prize Patrol. If you’re not a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, or if you have never been to a Stampin’ Up! event, “Prize Patrol” is where they randomly pick winners to win a prize. In November, I won Beautiful You (one of my favorite sets ever!). In April, it was Oh So Eclectic. The cool thing about Prize Patrol is everyone wins something – and they also have “Everyone” winners! Those are the best, because everyone gets a prize.

Oh So Eclectic is a wonderful set – and it coordinates with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits dies and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Since I won the set, I totally forgot to order the thinlits and paper (but they’re on my next order). If you bundle the stamps and thinlits, you’ll save 10%.

Here’s my “Oh So Eclectic” card for July classes.

Oh So Eclectic, Stampin' Up!, Happy Celebrations

Of all the cards we made this month, this is my favorite. It’s also the simplest. It’s proof that you don’t have to spend hours making a lovely card. This took just a few minutes to complete – but it’s gorgeous, don’t you think?

I stamped the outlines of the stemless flowers in Berry Burst, then stamped the “filler” in  Berry Burst that was stamped off on scrap paper one time. The smaller flowers were inked with Stampin’ Write Markers – Calypso Coral for the flower and Old Olive for the stem. Then the inside was stamped with Peekaboo Peach. I added a few Old Olive leaves – and a sentiment from Happy Celebrations.

I love glitter, so I had to add a little glam to the card. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the Berry Burst flower centers, then sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the glue. It gives just a little extra sparkle to the card.

We make five cards each month in my classes. Two of the cards are a bit simpler, so we make two of those. The fifth card is a little more involved, so we make one of that one. Classes are $15, but if you order $25 in Stampin’ Up! product, your class fee is waived. If you’re local, you should totally attend one of my classes. We have so much fun! If you’re not local, you can buy the stamps/accessories used for the cards (minimum $25) and get the card kits free – or you can pay the $15 (plus shipping- which is only a couple dollars) and I’ll send you the kit (card stock and embellishments). Either way, you’ll have a fun craft escape for an hour.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
