Van Gogh in the Garden
I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I am so glad Stampin’ Up! brought back Glossy White Cardstock in the new Annual Catalog. There are so many techniques like Crayon Resist, and Direct to Paper, and this one. Take a look.
Isn’t that fun? It’s another resist technique, and this is one of the cards we’ll be making in classes in July. It uses several new products – the Glossy White Cardstock, the gorgeous Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack, Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon, and the new Just Add Text stamp set.
I love how everything about this card coordinates. That’s one of the things I like most about Stampin’ Up! – product and color coordination is so easy and stress-free. And, of course, you don’t have to look all over town for supplies. They’re all right there at your fingertips.
The resist technique is so simple. Stamp images in VersaMark ink, then use a sponge brayer to color over them. The VersaMark resists the ink, leaving the image lighter than the background. You need to remember to let it dry a minute before sponging, and I use my heat tool to set the ink and help the VersaMark stand out a bit.
Sponging on Glossy White always looks so professional. The colors blend much better on glossy than on regular Whisper White or Very Vanilla.
Don’t forget that whenever you spend $50 (at one time) in July, you’ll get a coupon code for $5 to spend in August. And, of course, there’s a lovely promotion for new demonstators. Besides the $125 in product of your choice and the business tools, you’ll also receive two “D” Blocks, Grid Paper, a Bone Folder, Paper Snips, SNAIL Adhesive, and Carols of Christmas, a stamp set that will be released in the Holiday Catalog in September – all for only $99. Check the promotions out here, then head to my online store to order, or the online IDA to sign up!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
