Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge

Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge

Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that Craft Project Central has for you, they also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!! To help you recreate the sketch each month, they also provide a free Sketch Mini Tutorial. This mini tutorial has information about how the inspiration card (using the sketch) was created, supplies used, and basic measurements.  For every ten cards submitted, they’ll pick one winner of a free one month subscription! The winner(s) will get to select the month of their choice! Head over to Craft Project Central to learn more and submit your creation!

Here’s the sketch for July created by Regina Andari.

And here’s Regina’s super cute card that was inspired by the sketch.

Stampin' Up!, Craft Project Central

Isn’t that fun and festive? I loved the stamped panels, and the colors she used just pop with the Basic Black layer underneath. I created a card based on the sketch, and I had a blast! I’ll post it tomorrow, so be sure to check back.

Now – use Regina’s instructions in the tutorial to create your own card based on the sketch. Remember, you don’t have to follow the sketch exactly. You can use any colors or paper for the block panels, and the focal image doesn’t have to be an oval. And you’ll see tomorrow how I incorporated the bow into my creation. Be creative and have fun! The sketch is to provide inspiration and give you a springboard for your own creation. On the other hand, if you want to follow it exactly, that’s perfectly fine as well. The point is to enjoy the process.

After you’ve created your card, be sure to link it to the challenge. You could win a free subscription!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
