Love that Lemon Lime Twist
Ok, I’ll admit it. The first time I saw Lemon Lime Twist, one of the new 2017-19 In Colors from Stampin’ Up!, I thought, “Wow, that’s a bright green!” But it was sandwiched in the middle of two pinks, I think. And then I started playing with it and noticing it everywhere. Like in my dresser (I have two sweaters that color). And in Judy’s blouse last week. And on my mom. Take that all you people who think it’s only a trendy color for kids.
Mom was wearing a really cute top Saturday, so I said, “Hold still while I take a picture.” I had some time Sunday afternoon, so I created this.
Look how the Bermuda Bay and Tranquil Tide tone down the Lemon Lime. Not that it needs to be toned down. (You should see it with Night of Navy. Super gorgeous!) I know some of those little “flowers” from the Garden in Bloom stamp set are really supposed to be butterflies, but they looked like the flowers in Mom’s shirt, so today, they’re flowers. I stamped them in Bermuda Bay (I’m pretty sure I stamped off first), then stamped the centers with Tranquil Tide.
The leaves are Tranquil Tide with Lemon Lime Twist stamped inside. And the little round flowers are Bermuda Bay with Pool Party inside.
You may be thinking, “Why are you showing us these new colors? We can’t buy them.” Ah, but you’d be incorrect. You can get three of the new In Colors – Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig – in the Eastern Palace Bundles.
Aren’t they fun? And they’re so versatile. You’re going to love these products!
For the rest of my card – I embossed “thanks for everything” from All Things Thanks in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Vellum Cardstock and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (I cut them up to fit under the letters). Finally, I tied a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon (this you can’t order yet, but June is just around the corner!) around the top layers and adhered to my Lemon Lime Twist card.
