Take it or Leave it Stamp-Off Challenge
It’s another Stamp-Off Friday with Susan, Jackie, and me! This one is so much fun. It’s a Take it or Leave it Challenge. There are four items on the list, and you can use one, two, three, four – or none!
I decided to use them all. I was going to use the new Birthday Delivery Bundle, but I’ve shown too many sneak peeks already. I didn’t want to tease you with products you can’t buy for another six weeks.
I decided to use the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set with the Pansy Punch instead. I love that set – and it’s carrying over to the new catalog!
First I stamped the bunches of little blossoms on the Tempting Turquoise Cardstock in Smoky Slate Classic Stampin’ ink. Then I stamped the larger flowers in Smoky Slate on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored them with Berry Burst ink (ok – I did include a little sneak peek for you!). I colored the flower centers with Crushed Curry ink, then added some of the (very sadly) retired Dazzling Details with Crushed Curry refill over the colored centers. And, of course, they’re punched with the Pansy Punch.
This color combination was supposed to include Rich Razzleberry, and I know I have some here, but it must be hiding out with the blocks and Paper Snips that have disappeared. So the card base and flowers are Berry Burst, but I colored over the outlines with a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker. I’d love to say it was an artistic thing, but I was really just being lazy. My new In Color Markers were packed to take to a meeting, and I didn’t want to pull them out. But – hey – I think it turned out really well. There’s a lot to be said for laziness.
I stamped the leaves in Smoky Slate as well, then used a Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker over the outlines. I dragged the color into the leaves with an Aqua Painter. So – berries and pear are my “food” entries. The linen thread is obvious, as is the doily. The die-cut is the Pear Pizzazz Swirly Scribbles Thinlit over the doily.
Now – go check out what Susan and Jackie have done with this challenge. They’re both total madcaps, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they decided was in and what was out!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

lovely card Buffy. I really like the twine with the flowers and doily. I wonder if Ms Amelia is sneaking things home.

Thanks, Jackie! I wondered the same about Amelia. I checked her toy box and everything in her “kitchen” – stove, fridge, microwave, and all the drawers and cabinets. No blocks or paper snips. sad
