I know, I know…I said there would be minimal sneak peeks until mid-May. But this is what I was working on today, so I had to show you.
I was making cards for our group of local Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and I wanted to have something new for them. So I grabbed the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) for inspiration. If you can only get one thing from the new 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, get this DSP. It’s gorgeous. (You’re probably going to hear, “If you can only get one thing…” a lot – and there will be a different answer each time. So just plan to eat peanut butter and wear last year’s spring and summer clothes. The catalog is awesome, and you’re not going to want to deny yourself. Now – back to the card…) Wisteria Wonder is not one of the colors in the DSP; I’m guessing the flowers that look lavender-ish are a light Night of Navy. Still, I decided to use Wisteria Wonder for the flower (which, since it’s Wisteria, probably isn’t a daisy) and the cardstock. And, of course, there’s a coordinating punch that you can bundle with the stamp set for a 10% savings.
You may be saying, “Wow, that card looks familiar.” Well, if you read my blog a few days ago, it is very familiar. It’s basically the same card as our Daisy Delight Make & Take from OnStage 2017, just different colors. The daisy, as I mentioned, is Wisteria Wonder. I stamped the outline for the leaves in Tranquil Tide (love that new In Color! Ok – I love all five. I can’t wait to play more and come up with fabulous combinations!) and the insides in Old Olive. “Fabulous” is stamped in Calypso Coral, and “You are” is Perfect Plum.
A couple other new products on the card – Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon and Gold Faceted Gems. I love those gems! They make wonderful flower centers!
You may be asking where in the world that “You are Fabulous!” sentiment came from. That set was a “give away” at a convention several years ago. I think Stampin’ Up! gave it to us for attending a certain number of classes. It has such encouraging sentiments, especially for team members.
Tomorrow is “Stamp-Off Friday,” and I promise to show you products you can buy now!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
