Here for You
Here for You is one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! Stamp Sets – and it’s not retiring! I love this set, because it has several sentiments that I really want to say to people. Like this one –
Isn’t this just what you want to say to someone who’s going through a hard time? It’s like a “cyber hug.” There’s nothing you can do or say, but it expresses your love and your frustration at not being able to “fix” things.
When the boys were little – before I found Stampin’ Up! – I bought a card that said, “If you are what you eat, I’m fast, cheap, and easy.” While funny, this really expressed what my life was like with small children.
Fast forward 28 years. Now that I’m helping care for Amelia (my amazing granddaughter – and I love every second I get to spend with her. Except for about five minutes this morning at 5:45 when she was half awake and unreasonable…), plus parenting parents (ok – only one parent. Mine are amazing and still parenting me!) and being a mom (even when my kids don’t want me to be) – fast, cheap, and easy is my mantra once again. In the past 48 hours, I’ve only had about six hours of sleep. And I can’t survive on three hours of sleep per night.
So “Here for You” came to the rescue tonight when I needed a fast and easy card. I created a card base from Sahara Sand Cardstock, then added a layer of Island Indigo and a layer of Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper. A little Washi Tape and a matted layer of “Here for You,” and my card was done! I was happy – and I can think of so many people I can send this to.
Of course, you can substitute any sentiment or image. This can be a birthday, thank you, thinking of you, or even sympathy card. Or it can be a note card. The possibilities are endless. I love versatile sketches, don’t you?
Most of all, I love that when I have limited time (and energy!), I can still create a beautiful and heartfelt card for someone in very little time.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
