Let’s Celebrate
This is one of the cards we made at our March classes. It’s a CASE of Sandy’s swap from last month. I loved her card, and the way she used the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies as a layer instead of a pop-up. I switched the colors and had fewer layers than Sandy. Here’s her card.
Pretty, right? Sandy used the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack for the background layer and for the middle balloon.
Here’s my CASE – and you can see, I didn’t change much!
I die-cut the overlay for the balloon on the left, the bow, and, of course, the pop-up layer using the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits. Everything else is stamped using the Balloon Adventures stamp set. They’re both part of the Party Animal Suite in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. And, lf course, if you bundle the stamps and dies you can save 10%.
I used the 2015-17 In Color Paper Stack for the background layer, with Tempting Turquoise, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, and Tangerine Tango balloons. I stamped-off one time for the background color on the Tempting Turqoise and Tangerine Tango balloons, then stamped the stripes and polka dots full strength.
This is a really easy card. It took a little longer at class, because I “over-Big Shotted.” I don’t think I used the Big Shot at all the month before, but I made up for it this month. I didn’t realize how much until we got into the class. I’ll pay more attention next time!
Remember – you have two more days to take advantage of Sale-a-bration! Don’t miss out, because once April 1 gets here, it’s over until 2018!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Good job. No matter what color combination or what papers used, this set makes a really cute card. Love the polka dots!
