More Team Swaps
Our area Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator group meets every month, and we share challenges, business tips, make & takes and, of course, snacks! We decided to have an extra card swap with Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration productsearly this year. Instead of mailing them to a coordinator, we mailed them directly to the recipient, and it’s been so much fun opening the mailbox to see 4-3/8″ x 5-3/4″ envelopes! Most of all, I appreciate that there was no pressure to get the cards in by a set deadline. We all have busy lives with family, other jobs, community activities, and more, so the last thing I wanted was for anyone to feel more stress. I had lots of fun making and receiving the swaps, and I hope the others did as well.
You can see the first four swaps here. And here are two more.
This is Traci’s Avant Garden swap. I love how she used the same stamps for the focal point and background. And, of course, the little splatters, tearing, and sponging appeal to my “grunge & vintage” sides. They just add that “little extra” to make the card special. And Traci used only the Avant Garden stamp set from the Sale-a-bration brochure – for the background, focal image, and sentiment. Who knew one little FREE stamp set could be so versatile?
Here’s Christy’s Double Z-Fold card using the Nailed It bundle from the Occasions Catalog. The card is a “Z-fold,” and the tool pouch is the extra “z.” The loops for the belt and the tools, the little “stitched” pockets (again sponged to add depth), and the Silver Foil tools add that extra special touch to the project. This is one of those cards I’d love to give to some of the special guys in my life, but I don’t want to give this one away, and I don’t want to re-create it either. There’s a lot of work and detail in this card, which is Christy’s trademark.
I’ll post the last two swaps later this week. I am hugely impressed by the talent in our team (although I’m not surprised). All of the swaps I received were gorgeous.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
