Stamp-Off Friday, Baby

Stamp-Off Friday, Baby

Welcome to another “Stamp Off!” with Buffy, Jackie & Susan! This one is a theme challenge – “Baby on Board.”

This challenge is from Susan – and I think she has babies on the brain because she just welcomed her new granddaughter to the world. When Susan found out I was going to be a grandma, she was a little jealous. But about six months or so after Amelia was born, Susan became a grandma, too, with Madelyn – who is so adorable. Last week, Emory was born, so Susan has two grands to my one – and now I’m the jealous one.

Since we don’t have any babies on the horizon right now, I decided to do a card for my Amelia with the Baby Bear stamp set. Amelia loves to get mail, so I like to send her cards now and then.

Balloon Adventures, Stampin' Up!, Gorgeous Grunge, Baby Bear

She’s going to be three this year, so I used three balloons from the Balloon Adventures stamp set along with the Baby Bear and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets. The Balloon Adventures set coordinates with the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits as well as the Balloon Bouquet Punch. It’s so versatile, and you can use it for any happy occasion (or, as Amelia calls it, “Happy Day!”).

Amelia loves pink (Pinky Pie is her favorite My Little Pony; they share the same joy and love of life!), so I used Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, and Calypso Coral for the bear. The bow is Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.

I stamped the polka dot balloon in Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette, the striped one in Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight, and the solid one in Calypso Coral. The So Saffron/Gold Baker’s Twine in the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellisment Kit worked really well as strings for the balloons.

The splatters behind the bear are Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride splatters from Gorgeous Grunge. I stamped “love you” in Calypso Coral (and “beary much” inside is also in Calypso Coral).

I love the look of white on white, so those are the top layers. Then I added a card base from Daffodil Delight. It really pulls out the yellows in the bear’s bow and the balloon.

Please check out what Susan & Jackie have done for this challenge. I know their projects will be fabulous! Both of them are so creative and talented.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Jackie. And, I know…it seems like yesterdy she was Emory’s size! And now she’s all grown up and driving. (Ok, it’s a “Barbie” – soon to be Paw Patrol – jeep, but she’s driving it by herself.)
