Stamp-Off Sketch Challenge
It’s Friday – and that means another Stamp-Off Challenge with my friends Susan & Jackie & me!
This week, we have a sketch challenge for you. It’s a really fun one. Here’s the sketch.
Really cute, right? This is a perfect “go to” design if you’re stuck for ideas. I made two cards with the sketch. I posted one yesterday just for funsies; and here’s the one for the challenge.
I just thought all the little animals would be perfect for this one – so I used Bella & Friends for the main image and the embellishment.
I stamped all the images in Basic Black Archival Ink, then watercolored with our amazing Watercolor Pencils from the Occasons Catalog. I used Blender Pens to blend the ink. I love our Watercolor Pencils. They’re so easy to use – and perfect for beginners as well as more advanced stampers.
I got my color inspiration from the Party Animal Designer Series Paper that I used for the layers (Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White) – plus I aded a little Old Olive for the turtle. And I used the Layering Ovals Framelits for the ovals around the main image. I used my trusty Paper Snips to fussy cut the parrot.
Give our sketch challenge a try! And for even more inspiration, check out what Susan & Jackie did with this sketch. You’ll be wowed, I know. My jaw always drops and I’m totally inspired by their work. Here’s Susan’s blog, and here’s Jackie’s.

Thanks, Susan! I actually do enjoy fussy cutting. Not enough to give up my dies, but if there isn’t one, I don’t mind cutting.

Buffy, this is sooooo cute. The little critters are perfect for the sketch. The cut out parrot is darling. Love all the colors. Sorry that I was late launching this am. I edited my post last night and the time reset.

Thanks, Jackie! I love this set and haven’t used it nearly enough. (And no worries; I’m late checking in, so I didn’t even know! That’s one of the cool things about this challenge – you can be flexible!)
