Party Animal Stamp-Off

Party Animal Stamp-Off

It’s another Stamp-Off Friday challenge with Jackie, Susan, and me!

Stamp Off New Logo

This one is a theme challenge from Susan – Party Animal. (Party Animal is the theme, not necessarily Susan.)

february-24

I pulled out a fun bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog – Birthday Fiesta. I love the bundles in our catalogs, because not only do you have framelits/thinlits that coordinate with the stamp sets, but you also save 10%.

Birthday Fiesta, Stampin' Up!

I used the Watercolor Wash technique again (instructions in yesterday’s post). I used colors from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Emerald Envy. I get a lot of my color inspirations from our DSP. It’s another thing I love about Stampin’ Up! – there’s inspiration everywhere and it all coordinates.

I stamped the llama in Basic Black Archival ink then colored it with Watercolor Pencils. I used Tempting Turquoise, Emerald Envy, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers directly on the stamp for the blanket, then filled in with Crushed Curry. And, of course, the cactii are Emerald Envy on Emerald Envy. All that was left was simply to die-cut the llama and cactii.

The banners are die-cut from the Sale-a-bration Glimmer Paper Stack (Mint Macaron and Bermuda Bay) using one of the banners from the Fiesta Time Framelits Dies (included in the bundle, or available separately). This was one of the first bundles I knew I had to order from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog. I love the smile on that llama’s little face!

Check out what Jackie and Susan have done this week. I’m betting at least one of them used the llama, and it’s always fun to see if I’m right!

Don’t forget we only have a little over one more month of Sale-a-bration. Earn free product with qualifying sales or parties, or join my team and add two free stamp sets of your choice to your starter kit. There’s no obligation to sell anything and you don’t have to teach any classes or workshops unless you want to. Enjoy a minimum 20% discount on your purchases, and there’s no penalty if you drop. The starter kit is only $99, and you can select $125 in product PLUS the two free sets – which can be up to $104, depending on the sets you select. That’s $229 in product for only $99 – with no strings attached. If you’re an avid stamper, or if you want to stock up on stamps and supplies, you’ll want to join today!
