Avant Garden Birthday
My card today was inspired by several people/posts. I used an idea from Liz’s swap, an idea from Sandy’s blog today, and an idea from the Sale-a-bration brochure to create this card.
I am so grateful for Liz’s and Sandy’s inspiration for this. I’m sure I’ve been “overthinking” this set, and Sandy’s blog today helped me relax and just enjoy the flowers. The Delicate Details border was an idea from Liz – and I love how it sets off the Desiger Series Paper. The layout was from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration brochure. I love taking several ideas and putting them together for a totally different look!
For this card, I used the In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack for the Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder DSP elements. I die-cut the circle from Tip Top Taupe Cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and embossed it with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Then I layered the Watercolor Wonder flowers over it. The two “first generation” stamped images are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals; the “second generation” stamped image is layered flat to the circle. (First Generation means “stamped with full strength ink.” Second Generation means, “stamped off one time on scratch paper, then stamped the second time on the cardstock.) Just an FYI – there are no framelits for the flowers; you have to fussy-cut them. But they’re easy to cut out with scissors.
The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the Designer Tee Stamp Set. Every set I used on this card – Delicate Details, Avant Garden, and Designer Tee – are FREE with a $50 order. If you order the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the 2015-17 Designer Series Paper Stack, you’ll earn a FREE Sale-a-bration product! How cool is that? You can’t beat free, right?
