Life’s Adventures
Because of our professions and hobbies, Mike & I meet the most interesting people. One of our electrical clients is a published writer, and several months ago, he presented a writing seminar at our office. Austin gave us so much information – and he gave us a copy of one of his books. Time Is a Pool, by Austin Gisriel, is a wonderful collection of stories, and throughout the seminar, he offered glimpses into events that helped spark the idea for each story.
One of the story ideas came from a local dance club that Austin and his wife Martha belong to. In chatting, he mentioned that every so often, they have a social and members can invite friends. Long story short (I know, you’re probably thinking, “Too late!”), he and Martha invited Mike & me and we went dancing Saturday night.
It was so much fun. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a total klutz, but I totally enjoyed myself. The more experienced dancers were very kind and helpful. I even signed us up for three lessons!
Of course, Friday, I discovered, thanks to Susan, that she, Jackie, and I have been doing our Stamp-Off challenges for a year. It doesn’t seem like that long. It’s been wonderful playing with them each week.
My card for today is a celebration of these events. Of course, it can also be a birthday card, or even a graduation or anniversary card.
Balloon Adventures is another set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog. I ordered it soon after the November OnStage event, but just inked it tonight. It’s part of the “Party Animal” suite – and I used the Party Animal Designer Series Paper, Emerald Envy 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, and Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies that are also part of the suite. Of course, if you bundle the stamps and coordinating Balloon Pop-Up dies, you can enjoy a 10% discount. Order the bundle before March 31, and you’ll be able to select a free Sale-a-bration product!
The inside of the card is another sentiment from the stamp set – “Here’s to another year FULL of adventures.”
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Hope you have a day full of good adventures.

I love your stories as much as your cards, Buffy! (and they’re not ‘long’).
