Congrats to My New Silver

Congrats to My New Silver

With our new Compensation Plan that began last year, Stampin’ Up! changed the names of demonstrator titles. The new titles are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum (and each has a “metal elite” as well – like Bronze Elite, Silver Elite, etc.). Most demonstrators like to promote to Bronze Elite, because you get a higher commission there. To promote farther up, you need a downline and higher sales – and demonstrators who just want to craft as a hobby are happy to stay at Bronze Elite.

I tell my downline all the time that I’m always available to help them – no matter what their business goals are. Most are happy being crafters and getting a discount, and that’s totally fine. They have a class or two a month and enough outside sales to keep them from having to meet their minimums with their own money.

Jennie texted me the other day and said, “Hey – I just realized I’m close to Silver.” We chatted about what she needed to do to promote, and today – she did! She has her first downline and amazing sales for her first year. I’m very proud of her.

Here’s a card I made to congratulate her.

Beautiful You, Stampin' Up!

I also have a gift, but I can’t show you. It’s my January project for Craft Project Central, so you’ll see it after it launches. I created it with Jennie in mind.

My card uses three stamp sets – Ghoulish Grunge (from the Holiday Catalog), Beautiful You (from the upcoming Occasions Catalog), and Tin of Cards (from the Annual Catalog). I stamped the brick wall in Smoky Slate and the lady in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I stamped her again on the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.

I used the Watercolor Pencils, also from the Occasions Catalog, to color her hat and skin. I blended several colors together to get the shades I wanted. Simply scribble with the pencils on a scrap of Watercolor Paper, then use an Aqua Painter or Blender Pen to blend them. I love mixing the colors!

I added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the brick wall and to the lady’s necklace, then sponged the edges of the card.

You can order from the new Occasions Catalog beginning January 4. Some Holiday Catalog products will be carrying over, but those that are retiring will be gone after January 3. So place your order soon, because the retiring products are “while supplies last.” You can see the Year End Closeouts here. And here’s the link to the retiring products. Sadly, Ghoulish Grunge is on that list, so don’t miss it! Order before January 4.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
