Stamp-Off Friday Christmas Cards
It’s another Stamp-Off Friday – and this one was a really big challenge for me. We’re posting our personal Christmas cards.
This shouldn’t be a huge challenge, right? I mean, I received Susan’s & Jackie’s cards over a week ago, on the same day. Jackie & Susan are very organized and on top of things. My Christmas cards will probably say, “Happy St Patrick’s Day!” To everyone who has sent me a card, please know how much I appreciate it. I’ve gotten beautiful cards from my stampers and downline members and other friends. And one day I’m going to send them a card as well. But it will definitely be more of a “Happy Holidays” card – because it may include Valentine’s Day and St. Pat’s.
I did, however, make this card, and if I finally get the cards sent out, this will be the one. It’s simple and easy to reproduce in larger quantities, but it also has glits and shine.
I stamped the bells from Christmas Magic on Whisper White cardstock and colored them with Smoky Slate and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers. There’s no die for them, so I cut them out by hand. I find it soothing, so it’s not a big deal for me. Kind of like watercoloring. I enjoy it.
I stamped the Timeless Textures dotted pattern in Basic Gray on the Smoky Slate layer, then stamped some smaller splatters in Versamark and embossed them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details over the bells.
The final touches – “Merriest Wishes” stamped in Real Red, and a little Silver Metallic Thread wrapped around the card. I love the Real Red, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray color combination.
Check out Jackie’s and Susan’s cards before you log off the internet today. If they post the cards they sent me, you’ll be totally wowed!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

I love this card, Buffy. The bells are adorable with the pop of the red ribbon. Very pretty!

I, too love this card. I dislike cutting things out, so would appreciate your efforts on the bells. It’s such a pretty design and theme!

Such a great card, Buffy! The pops of red against the neutral background are perfect. I would have sent you a card, if I had your address 🙂 So here, I will wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas – and all the best for 2017 !

Thanks, Deborah! (I’ll send my address for next year, if you send me yours!) I haven’t sent any cards yet. They’re definitely going to be “Happy Holidays!” cards. That way the holidays could be anything, just in case I’m really late. sigh
