Just Dance
I think my absolute favorite stamp set from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog is Beautiful You. It’s so pretty, and I love using it with the Falling in Love Suite. As promised, here is more “glitz and glitter!”
I stamped the dancer on one of the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper designs. And then I colored her with my new Watercolor Pencils! I love them. They’re very like our old Watercolor Pencils, but they’re in Stampin’ Up! colors. All the colors aren’t there; just 13. But you can use a piece of Watercolor Paper to mix and blend them and make any color you want.
After I colored the dancer, I decided I needed to add something. I knew I wanted to use the Very Vanilla 1/4″ Satin Ribbon and the Falling in Love Embellishments, but what else? I had been playing with the new Lace Doilies for another project, so I added two on the corners. Even though I used a Silicone Craft Sheet when I added adhesive to the doilies, a little adhesive still hung around. Light Bulb! I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter over the doilies and it was just enough to add some sparkle. Of course, I had to add a little more glitter to her dress. And then I added drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Designer Series Paper and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over them. It looked like little drops of rhinestones. Or maybe snow…(But who would dance barefoot in the snow? I guess it’s probably rain.)
So there you go – super simple card. Just stamp one image, color (I blended the color with a Blender Pen) and add a little glitter and a few embellishments. Fun!
Don’t forget the Year-End Close Out Sale at Stampin’ Up! There are products up to 60% off – and some are retiring. So be sure to order now, because many are only available “while supplies last.” And the sale ends January 3. So order now! And, of course, your order isn’t limited to the Clearance Rack and Close Out Sale items. You can add other catalog products to your order as well.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
