Merry Christmas, Lisa
First – some Stampin’ Up! News.
Stampin’ Up! is moving out some inventory to make room for wonderful and new stamping products! Check out the list of closeouts and the updated Clearance Rack today – as well as the list of retiring products from the Holiday Catalog. Don’t miss out on your favorites – and maybe you’ll snag a deal at the same time!
I was supposed to have a Craft Day from 11-3 today, and then I realized that not only was I scheduled to take care of Amelia for a few hours, but I was also in charge of Mike. Mike had a routine “procedure” today (you can read about it here), and I needed to be with him. So – I called in the Big Guns (aka “Mom”), who graciously sat with Amelia this morning. And I switched my Craft Day to a Craft Evening.
We had a BLAST! Since it was after working hours, more people were able to come. My attendance doubled! Ok, it was going to just be Christy and me, but since it was after school was out for the day, Liz could be there too. And she brought her darling Home Sweet Home Thinlits (I’ll post that later). She and Christy both posted cards for the Craft Project Central November Sketch Challenge (see them here). They did a great job!
Before they got there, I made a little treat box with the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes and Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies. Mike and I have worked together since before we got married. Even when the boys were little, I worked from home and helped as much as possible with our businesses. But these days, with Miss Amelia and my Stampin’ Up! business, I’m just not able to go to the office as much as I used to. So he recently hired an office administrator to help with some of the organizing that we’ve been neglecting lately. She also keeps everyone on track with home inspections, deadlines, and all the other stuff that goes with selling houses.
Lisa has also been organizing my Stampin’ Up! paperwork, and I noticed tonight that my desk actually has a top! Who knew? Where has this woman been my whole life? She’s amazing. Mike is very picky about who he works with. It has to be someone who will think like he does, someone with a good sense of humor, and someone who can put up with his, um, haphazard filing. Lisa has filled the position nicely – and she has taken over his filing system in ways I never could without hurting his feelings. She’s like a magic angel from heaven; a Christmas miracle, if you will. So I made her this little box o’ candy.
I filled one of the Tiny Treat Boxes with candy, and added a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper liner to the box. Then I die-cut the Santa’s Sleigh from Gold Foil sheets and more Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and the tree from Emerald Envy cardstock.
This was so quick and simple. (In case Lisa is reading -) This took hours and hours to create. I also made a tag for it so she’d know it was for her, but it’s not in the picture.
If you need some stocking stuffers, check out the Tiny Treat Boxes. They’re perfect for little gifts – and they’re super quick and easy to customize.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
