All Things Thanks
It’s another Friday Challenge! This time, the theme was “thankful” (appropriate for the season!), and we made thank you cards.
When I make cards, nine times out of ten they’re “thank you” cards. I have a lot that I haven’t blogged yet, but I wanted to do something new.
This started out as a “Clean & Simple” one layer card, but it took a quick turn. I didn’t like the first attempt. At all. So I cut the card base in half, flipped the stamped side over and started again. Here’s the final result.
I’m still not sure about this one. It sounded really good in my head, but the flowers are a little bigger than I was thinking, so they kind of dwarf the sentiment. And my Wink of Stella went a bit crazy. It really does look better in person, because it’s shimmery, not just blobby gray. I think Stella is camera shy, because she just doesn’t photograph well.
Still – this uses three brand new sets from the Occasions catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure, so I had to post it. The top border is from “Delicate Details,” a set you can earn free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. The flowers are from “So in Love” from the Occasions Catalog, and the sentiment is another set from Occasions, “All Things Thanks.” This set has specific things you’re thankful for, so it’s a little less generic. Although, as you can see from my card, there are generic sayings as well.
So that’s my card for our challenge this week. Check out Jackie’s & Susan’s blogs to see what they created for this week’s “grateful” challenge. I’m sure they will be fabulous!
I hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving. We had a lovely time with family, both close and extended. I even got to chat with one of my cousins who I haven’t seen for years. It was wonderful! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a beautiful day!
Buffy, this is a lovely card. The lace border really sets it off. I got this set at On Stage and have made a couple of cards, so appreciate the challenge of using the images.

Thanks, Deborah. I think the Delicate Designs set will be fun – especially for vintage projects.
