Stampin’ Up! OnStage 2016
I just got home from Secaucus, NJ, and the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local 2016 event. Every six months, Stampin’ Up! offers an OnStage Live event. In April, it was in Salt Lake City, UT. This month, it was in Australia. In April 2017, it will be in Europe, and in November 2017, it will be back in Salt Lake City. Now that we’re global, it’s a little difficult for some people to attend live events, so Stampin’ Up! offers “OnStage Local” in other markets. For those of us on the east coast of the US, the choices were Secaucus, NJ, or Atlanta, GA. Secaucus was a little closer – so that’s where we headed. And I have to say the weather in November in New Jersey was much more welcoming than the weather in Salt Lake City in April. It was cold and rainy, I think we even had snow in April in Utah. Secaucus weather was lovely! And even if it had been raining and ugly, it was about two steps from our hotel to the convention center.
I can’t show you anything from the Occasions Catalog yet (but check back after 3 p.m. EST!), but here are a few pictures from #OnStage2016.
These were my “pillow gifts” for friends. I’ll be honest – I’m horrible at pillow gifts. I usually put them off until the last minute and…well, I’ve never been happy with them. (Wait until I show you Christy’s. They were amazing. And so were Susan’s and Holly’s.) I started mine about 7 p.m. on Thursday (we left at 10 a.m. Friday). I was at a loss about what to make, but Stampin’ Up! came to my rescue. I filled our Glassine Gift Bags with snacks and used the Tin of Tags Project Kit and Stamp Set for the toppers. I had exactly six bags and six retired clothes pins – and there were six of us (plus me. I decided I didn’t need a pretty package; I could just throw my snacks in my bag). I was happy with how they turned out – and I hope they helped get everyone through the afternoon slump!
Here are a couple more pics of my friends and me.
This is my friend Susan. I always look forward to seeing her at Stampin’ Up! events. And here’s a picture of the whole group of us – Susan, her downline Char, my friend Christy and her friends from Connecticut – Holly, Judy, and Julie, and me.
I so enjoyed meeting everyone! These are amazing ladies- and they’re all so creative. I can’t wait to see all of them again soon.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
