My family knows I do not like mice. At all. We always had a cat or two that kept the barn mice at a minimum, and my dad did an amazing job of keeping them out of our old but remodeled farmhouse. Occasionally one or two would slip in, but he dispatched them very quickly.
You can imagine their shock when the Stampin’ Up! Merry Mice set showed up at the house. Although I don’t care for live mice, these little cuties that sing and decorate for the holidays were just too adorable for me to resist.
My favorite thing about this card is that it uses only one stamp set. The background, main image and sentiment are all in the Merry Mice set (plus more sentiments and images, of course). Oh – and this month only, you can enjoy a 25% discount on this and other selected sets that pair well with the new Stitched Shapes Framelits. These framelits will be in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog in June 2017, but you can enjoy a sneak peek this month. Although the 25% discount on selected stamps ends November 30, you’ll still be able to purchase the framelits after that date. Of course, there’s a story behind, “Hi, Mice!” Wesley and I took Amelia to Chuck E Cheese’s one day when he was off. As soon as we pulled up, she started saying, “Hi, Mice!” to the big Chuck E standing outside. It was so adorable. (And when we left, she said, “Bye, Mice!” Wesley’s heart melted all over my car.)
Amelia had so much fun. I had gotten a “package” with a game card and lunch. Wes didn’t realize we had a $30 card, so he also got a card. They played almost every game, rode rides, and got pictures drawn – and still had money left on the cards. Amelia was a bit perplexed when she couldn’t find a place to swipe her card. It didn’t take her long to discover it was a scan. And, oh, could she scan. She’d start a game, then walk away and let Wes finish. I think he was playing two at a time at one point. After we managed to convince her to let me hold her card, Wes made a special note to himself not to turn her loose with any credit cards. Ever.
This is Amelia taking a little break after beating her daddy at the driving game. (Yes, she really did have a higher score. Too funny.) I’m looking forward to our next trip!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day
