Christmas Joy
Here’s one of the cards I made and considered for Friday’s “Take it or Leave it” Challenge. This one has all the elements from the challenge – a die-cut, “green,” ribbon and it’s a Christmas card.
I laid the Crumb Cake layer over the open Whisper White card (without adhering) and die-cut the jar from both layers. Then I stamped the jar image through the front so it would be in the perfect place.
I stamped the tree in Stampin’ Up! Basic Black Archival Ink, then colored it with Stampin’ Write Markers. I added a little Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to give it a snowy look.
Before I adhered the Crumb Cake layer to the front, I stamped some splatters in Crumb Cake, and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. Then I cut a small window sheet to fit between the two layers. That gave me a base for the stamped, embossed Copper Foil lids. I added lids to the inside of the card as well, to give it a more finished look.
The last think I added was twine in all three of the colors of the Baker’s Twine Trio pack – Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Gold.
I love how well the products in the Holiday catalog coordinate with each other, as well as the products in the Annual Catalog. The tree, splatters, and jar are from the Jar of Cheer set, the die-cuts are from the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies, and the sentiment is from the Tin of Tags stamp set. The Tin of Tags Project Kit is fun and fresh, and the tags are so sweet. But you can use the stamp set for so many other projects – and you can use tag elements on cards and memory pages as well.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
